Lending Club came to us for help in explaining a new way to borrow and invest at a time when venerable financial institutions were collapsing. Their existing branding emphasized edgy innovation over credible clarity. We worked with Lending Club to re-establish their brand, inspire confidence, and better articulate their value.
We were excited to work with them because of their innovative and principled approach to personal finance. By improving on a traditional model, Lending Club rewards responsible action and returns control to the individual.
Solution
Drawing on our own research, as well as our experience with online financial services, we created a new identity for Lending Club to communicate their stability, credibility, and straightforward approach. Working from the logo mark and core attributes, we then designed the new website to reflect key investor concerns and make it simple for potential borrowers to determine quickly whether they qualify.
The site is clear, engaging, and informative. It tells Lending Club’s story so potential customers can easily understand why Lending Club is better than a bank.
